InterContinental Hotels Group appoints Director of Revenue Management for MEA region

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Hannes Bos as the new Director of Revenue Management in the Middle East and Africa.

Bos' responsibilities will include developing pricing structures and revenue management strategies across all five of IHG's hotel brands in the Middle East & Africa - InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts, Holiday Inn Express and the newly launched Staybridge Suites.

"We are thrilled to welcome Hannes to the group," commented John Bamsey, Chief Operating Officer, InterContinental Hotels Group, Middle East and Africa. "He has a wealth of experience in revenue management within the hospitality industry and we're confident he'll prove to be a great asset."

Bos began his hospitality career over 8 years ago in Amsterdam, Holland, as Corporate Revenue Manager for a Dutch hotel chain, and three years later for a an International French hospitality group. In 2006, Bos moved to Singapore where he became both Regional and Global Director of Revenue Management for a global hotel chain where he remained for two years before joining IHG this year.

Commenting on his recent appointment, Bos said: "The Middle East and Africa is a very vibrant and diverse region with dynamic tourism and business travel opportunities - you can always count on a high-season somewhere!"

"My professional goal is to grow and enhance the group's revenue management for its existing properties as well as those that are in the pipeline," added Bos. "More importantly, I look forward to expanding the current concept and application of Revenue Management to usher in a Total Revenue Management system. As one of the leaders in the hospitality industry, IHG has the right environment and infrastructure to achieve this exciting new chapter in Revenue Management, further differentiating the Group from its competitors."

Bos has two Masters Degrees - Masters of Science in Management and Masters of Science in Service Management. He is married and speaks three languages - Dutch, English and German.
