With 25 years of experience in the business, Stuart has spent the last four years running GAC Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was GAC's Regional Logistics Manager for the Middle East, based in Dubai. Stuart brings in-depth international expertise to his new role having also held managerial positions in Saudi Arabia and his native Glasgow. Returning to the UK, Stuart is responsible for growing its logistics business in line with the Group's new five-year strategy, 'Vision Y, Global Values', which focuses on the importance of human values in the business world.

"I am very fortunate to have worked with GAC in the Middle East and in Hong Kong - markets where we have been established for decades and in which we have a strong reputation for quality and service," says Stuart. "Our name in the UK is gradually gaining prominence, and with our nationwide network of offices and a team of experience staff, I believe we have the right success ingredients in place."

Stuart takes over from Dennis Mead who has held the position of Managing Director of GAC Logistics (UK) Ltd since GAC's acquisition of international forwarder Benair Freight in 2005.

Erland Ebbersten, GAC's Regional Director for Europe, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Caspian Sea and Africa says, "As agreed at the time of the acquisition, Dennis has successfully presided over the integration of the company into the GAC Group and has demonstrated considerable knowledge and experience of the UK and international freight business. Dennis has set a strong foundation for Stuart to take our logistics business in the UK to the next level."
