This step also aims to promote RTA interaction with the community, particularly among students who are the core of future development.
Kawther Kazim, Director of Human Resources & Development Dep't at RTA Corporate Support Services Sector stated that around 167 male and female students have joined RTA Summer Training Program.
'Students have been deployed at various RTA Departments & Sections and an integrated training course has been designed to provide them with the type of experience required for the career market. They will also be exposed to various administrative divisions, business conduct and working conditions of the RTA' she commented.
'RTA has prepared a package of educational, training and recreational programs for the students. The educational program includes site visits to some key RTA projects such as Dubai Metro. The recreational program includes visits to a number of tourist & heritage locations in the emirate.
'Participating students have been divided into two main groups in order to maximize the benefit from the summer program. One group joined various divisions of the RTA and is being trained on different specialties. The other group is joined external events and festivities such as Dubai Summer Surprises.
'RTA matched the line of participation in the summer program with the fancied fields of the participating students. College students have been directed to training sessions compatible with their lines of specialty, while secondary schools students are being exposed to training in fields matching to their future aspirations.
RTA sets off summer training for 167 students
Around 167 male and female students started a summer training program at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) under a plan aiming to support national human resources.
