Du posted a Dhs43.8m quarterly loss today, but said subscriber numbers were rising rapidly. The loss was not as bad as analysts expected. Du now claims 2.3 million subscribers - although it does not say if they are all active - having added 500,000 customers in the past quarter. Etisalat added 200,000 new customers over the same period.
