The online service is available to American Express Cardmembers holding bank accounts with Emirates Bank. Emirates NBD is the banking group formed following the recent merger of Emirates Bank and National Bank of Dubai. American Express monthly bills can be settled online through the Emirates Bank website and the payments will be processed the next working day.

An alternative payment option is via Emirates NBD Cash Deposit Machines (CDM) available at most of the Group's branches and is not restricted to Emirates NBD account holders. The CDM directly accepts any Dirham currency notes, and gives a receipt to the customer immediately. American Express Cardmembers can now settle their bills 24-hours without any additional charge.

"American Express bill payment convenience is now just a click away," said Girish Marathe, Senior Director for UAE at American Express Middle East.

"Emirates NBD is our strategic partner, and their robust online and CDM network facilities will provide an efficient payment channel for our Cardmembers. As a provider of premium payment solutions, excellence in service offerings is integral to our business,"

Marathe added.

He added: "As our customer base is rapidly growing, AEME is committed to adding more transactional ease and convenience for our Cardmembers."

Mr. Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Emirates NBD General Manager, Consumer Banking and Wealth Management said:

"The busy lifestyle of our customers requires convenience and flexibility, prompting the move towards automating more areas of our operations. As the largest banking entity in the MENA region, Emirates NBD has a well-developed technical infrastructure. We are pleased to provide our services to a prestigious partner such as American Express and are confident that together we will offer great convenience to our customers."

In addition to the new online and CDM payment facilities, American Express Cardmembers can settle their monthly bills at ENOC and EPPCO petrol stations.
