National Aviation Services audited by European Aviation Safety Agency

Kuwait's National Aviation Services (NAS), a leading provider of airport ground handling services to airlines at the Kuwait International Airport, announced today that the company has successfully completed its EASA Audit conducted by the European Aviation Safety Agency, the leading aviation safety agency.

The successful audit conducted earlier this month spearheaded by a senior representative of EASA demonstrates the company's commitment to achieve high level of safety and quality standards in compliance with international regulations.

NAS has also been awarded maintenance certification for British Airways B777 aircraft operating to Kuwait which is another accomplishment for the rapidly expanding ground handling company further solidifying its reputation of being a world class service provider and a market leader.

This also means that airlines will have a choice of two companies for line and light maintenance of aircraft slowing for service improvement.

"NAS is the first private ground handling company in Kuwait to obtain the EASA Part 145 Approval and in July 2006 the company was the officially recognized as an approved aircraft line maintenance station under Part 145 for the certification of Airbus A320 series of aircraft with CFM 56 & V 2500 Engines and Boeing 737NG aircraft with CFM56 engines were added later in 2007,"

"We also hold the approval of Kuwait, Omani, and UAE Regulatory Authorities for Line Maintenance activities. Among the list of aircraft currently being certified for release to service is B777 and we are also looking at certifying B737NG and A320," he continued.

The audit was headed by Naser Al-Obaid and Mr. Ravishankar AlAmuri Venkat, Quality Assurance Manager at NAS.
