The company said that it dedicates its new vital Emergency Credit service to its pre-paid customers who sometimes suffer from the inconvenience that usually comes in the form of sudden, unwanted call disconnections when their lines run out of balance.

On the occasion of launching the new service, Khalid Al-Omar, Zain's Chief Operations Officer, said:

"Our company decided to come up with this service after noticing that many of its pre-paid customers suffer frequently from the inconvenience that results from running out of balance at critical times when they have to make emergency calls."

He pointed out that the new service transfers an immediate "Credit" of 500 fils in recharge balance to such customers in order to help them stay connected long enough to overcome their emergency situations. That emergency "Credit" is to be automatically deducted from the next recharge done by the respective customer.

"Zain has been a forerunner in the field of launching new, innovative services; which are always based on comprehensive field studies through which the company seeks to identify the real desires and requirements of its customers and tailor its new services accordingly," Al-Omar added, explaining that the aim behind launching the new service is to provide Zain's customers with an added value.

He went on to stress the fact that Zain always puts its customers first and never hesitates to do whatever it takes to realize their satisfaction, citing the new "Emergency Credit" service as the latest step in that direction.

Indicating that the new service does not require any subscription fees and once activated, it can be used any number of times by any Zain pre-paid customer, Al-Omar explained that all it takes to activate the service is either send an application SMS message that states "500" to No. 99990 or call Zain's Customer Service Center at #107.

"Shortly before a pre-paid subscriber's balance runs out, this new service sends a voice notification and automatically transfers 500 fils to the customer's account," Al-Omar went on to explain, pointing out that the warning message and the subsequent balance transfer never take place unless the balance approaches and then reaches the "Zero" point.

Zain's Chief Operations Officer Al-Omar said he expects the new Emergency Balance service to become one of the most useful and interesting services for a significant segment of Zain's customers who find it very inconvenient and/or feel very embarrassed when they run out of balance at critical times. "This new service is here to eliminate that inconvenience for good," he anticipated.
