DHA seeks expressions of interests for key role within new health funding system

Further to the Dubai Health Authority's (DHA) announcement on 09 June, which unveiled the structure of the new health funding system, the DHA has issued a request for expressions of interest from companies interested in becoming one of the DHA's three healthcare management companies (HMC).

The formal Request For Proposals (RFP) will be published later in August.

Final appointments are expected to be made in October.

His Excellency Qadhi Al Murooshid, Director General of the DHA said:

"As announced on the 9th June, the DHA will be responsible for health strategy and policy, regulation, funding and public health in Dubai. This creates a number of exciting opportunities across the health sector. We are pleased to announce the first phase of the application process with the first phase of the tendering process for the Healthcare Management Companies."


Ms Laila Al Jassmi, the Director responsible for establishing the health funding project for the DHA, said: "The role of the HMC will be to provide registered outpatient care practices (OCP's) with administrative support services. We are looking forward to receiving strong applications from here in the UAE, from around the region as well as internationally."
