Iraq moots paying students

The Iraq parliamentary education committee is considering a law allowing university students to be paid for studying. The monthly salary would be IQD100,000 for students, IQD150,000 for Phd students and IQD50,000 for trainee teachers. The initiative is an attempt to combat drop-out rates.
