Emirates extends in-flight calls to Boeing

Emirates has introduced Aero-Mobile's in-flight mobile phone services on one of its Boeing 777-300 planes, claiming this is a first for a Boeing aircraft. Passengers can make calls and send SMS messages via their phones during a flight. The plane operates several routes, including services to Europe and Australia. Ten of Emirates' Airbus fleet currently have the technology installed. Average passenger call length, according to Emirates, is 2.5 minutes.
