Dell appoints new Regional Sales Manager for Middle East

Global Systems and Services company Dell has announced the appointment of Nadeem Ahmad as the company's new Regional Sales Manager for Small and Medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Middle East.

An industry veteran with 20 years of experience in IT sales and marketing, Ahmad will lead the effort to bring Dell's products and services to the ever-increasing number of SMEs across the region, whilst expanding Dell's SME business unit to better address the requirements of these customers.

"Nadeem brings with him a wealth of experience in IT, and his expertise will add considerable value to our operations and allow us to realise our strategic objectives in this critical sector of the market."

An Electrical Engineering graduate from Aligarh Muslim University in India, Nadeem Ahmad has a close understanding of the Middle East IT market, having held various senior positions with leading regional IT companies over the last 16 years.

His most recent assignment was with HP, where he was responsible for channel management and was actively associated in building the company's retail, distribution, enterprise and SME channels.

In his capacity as Regional Sales Manager at Dell, Ahmad will focus on establishing a network of channel partners with whom to deliver the Dell experience to customers in the SME sector.

He will further be responsible for conceiving and implementing specific programmes and services that address the requirements of SME customers and help position Dell as a vendor of choice within this fast-growing segment.

Ahmad will also sit on Dell's Middle East senior management team, ensuring SMEs' needs are addressed in future offerings from Dell.
