Savills strengthens global status

International property adviser Savills has been ranked number four worldwide, according to leading UK publication Estates Gazette's annual survey of property advisors.

The survey, based on turnover at year end 2007, reports Savills has risen the global ranks to number four from the position of number five.

The firm achieved an annual turnover of £651m in 2007 across its 171 offices with over 18,000 staff.

According to Estates Gazette, Savills has retained its status as number three in Europe, and number one in the UK. The UK position has been retained by the firm for nine consecutive years.

Jeremy Helsby, CEO of Savills Plc, comments: "This result reflects our global growth having moved into the US, and expanded teams in Europe and Asia over the past year. This international reach will enable us to maximise opportunities in the current challenging economic market."
