  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, August 03 - 2008 at 16:32

Ajman Municipality has fined a real estate developer and consulting company Dhs100,000 each for selling units in a fictitious project, according to a Khaleej Times report. The companies had posted adverts for the 95-storey Al Manara Tower, claiming that it would be the tallest building in the emirate. Ajman Municipality has since said that the tallest approved building is of 62 storeys, and investors who have been sold fake units are encouraged to contact them to help recoup their money.
