Markets fall on low trading
- Middle East: Tuesday, August 05 - 2008 at 08:47
Five of the GCC markets fell yesterday amid extremely low trading values, with only the Muscat and Doha exchanges rising, by 1.1% and 0.07% respectively. Trading values are adding pressure on the indices, hit by a decline in institutional foreign investments, especially in the UAE and Qatar. The Tadawul had the sharpest decline, falling 1.9%, while Bahrain fell 0.81%, Kuwait 0.81%, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange 0.61% and the Dubai Financial Market 0.30%.
