Travco gears up for the International Cross Country Rally of the Pharaons 2008

Following its belief in the role of such international sports events in promoting Egypt, Travco partakes in the International Cross Country Rally of the Pharaons for the third consecutive year alongside the Italian organizers, JVD International.
Mrs. Nevine Fawzi, Travco's Safari Department Manager and in charge of the Rally logistics says, "An event of this scale can only be a success through the corroboration of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Environment, Antiquity, Air Force, Civil Aviation and the National Intelligence as well as Egyptair being the official carrier, all of whom have contributed significantly to the success of the 2006 & 2007 events, and are now gearing up for the upcoming 2008 event."
For the third year in a row, preparation is fully underway and Travco team has already kick-started with the pre-event logistics and travel arrangements, following the inspection trips conducted by JVD International. Travco is considered the most qualified handling company in such events due to its long tenure in handling international Rallies in Egypt in addition it is a member of the 'Desert Keepers Committee' which is held under the supervision of ETA. Moreover, it is the leader in promoting responsible Desert Travel that conserves the environment in order to elevate the eco standards.
After the inspection trips conducted during April and May, JVD International announced that the track of the Pharaons 2008 Rally will be starting at the Pyramids of Giza plateau, and will be embarking on a track of approximately 3000 kilometers.
Following last edition's general trail, a larger distance in the heart of the Desert of striking dunes has been added, as well as fast tracks, and off-road tours in the outstanding landscapes, for the contestants to enjoy a longer and more challenging experience. Now all efforts are gearing up towards the organization of what is known as the most infamous sports event world wide.
