Kuwait stops dollar forex trades

The Kuwait Central Bank notified lenders yesterday that it would no longer cover interbank dollar transactions and would only buy or sell dollars for commercial purposes, Reuters has reported. Analysts have said that the move could be designed to clamp down on speculators betting on the dinar by stopping local banks from using cheap central bank liquidity.
