  • PRESS RELEASE

The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced that CARS Taxi Co., which is operating under the umbrella of RTA Dubai Taxi Agency, has recently added 400 new modern vehicles to beef up taxi fleet in Dubai.

Abdul Aziz Malik, CEO of Dubai Taxi Agency and Acting CEO of Public Transport Agency, also said that the RTA is continuously working side by side with franchise companies, including CARS, to upgrade the level of service rendered to citizens, residents, visitors, tourists and various sectors of the community.

"CARS Taxi seeks to deliver the best services to the public through expanding and renovating its taxi fleet. The company is set to dispatch drivers to training courses held in conjunction with the RTA in a bid to urge them to adopt the best practices in business; particularly noting that the emirate of Dubai is witnessing unprecedented urban expansion & relentless growth in all fields. Such a drive requires intensive efforts to rise up to all challenges and figure out ultimate solutions to all problems & obstacles hindering the daily business of taxi companies.

"Problems encountered by cab drivers have to be accurately diagnosed and amply reviewed so as to sort out solutions that can boost the level of services provided, and help keep pace with the continual demand for taxis resulting from the urban & demographic expansion of the UAE in general and Dubai in particular. We have to put an end to all practices which have a negative impact on the quality of taxi services such as the phenomenon of drivers refusal to lift passengers to their destination on the pretext of traffic congestions and unfeasibility of driving to those congested places" added Malik.

In a final remark he lauded the sound partnership relationship between the RTA and franchise companies operating under Dubai Taxi Agency.
