Dubai World Security signs MoU with Bluesail LLC

Dubai World Security (DWS), the security solutions arm of Dubai World, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Bluesail LLC, the Middle East's leading maritime training company based in Dubai, to provide training to the DWS Marine Division.

Under the agreement, Bluesail will develop and deliver a bespoke maritime training programme that will enhance and sharpen the skills and expertise of DWS's marine security personnel and senior officers.

Dubai World Security's maritime activities are currently focused on ensuring the safety and security of the Nakheel waterfront and island developments such as the Palms and The World projects.

The advanced training programme will include enabling all DWS marine personnel to achieve the internationally recognised standards of the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) National Powerboat Certification Level 2.

Mahmoud Amin, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai World Security, said:

Over the next year Dubai World Security and Bluesail will continue to work together on related maritime safety and security issues to ensure that a formidable force is in place monitoring and patrolling the Nakheel island developments in Dubai.

The high-end training programme is also in line with the Marine Security Services contract that Dubai World Security recently signed with The World to provide end-to-end marine security cover to the landmark project.

DWS has been providing turnkey security solutions across the Dubai World group. The company was recently awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification in recognition of its commitment to continuous quality management and improvement of the services and operations.

DWS's network of operation covers various areas of security, including port, marine, industrial, building, commercial, technical, patrolling, events, logistics and intelligence. The company ensures that all emergency measures are tested and put into place at the various sites so that no threat to life or property occurs.
