Attending the press conference were a number of managers and team members from Extreme Jordan and HRS, the Chairman of the committee organizing the marathon. Other attendees included Mr. Hasan Nour, the owner of Hasan Nour Corporation, Haier's Deputy General Manager, in addition to representatives of various local media and sponsors of the marathon.
The organizing committee said that the race, the funds garnered by which will go to HRS, will be held next Friday in Al Hussein Park and for distances of 21, 10 and 2 kilometers. The organizing committee aims to launch the marathon to provide aid to the local civil society and governmental institutions to lessen the staggering statistics of automobile accidents and the injuries and mortalities resulting from them.
This is the second Amman Life Run, and is considered an important athletic and touristic event that aims, in addition to its humanitarian motives, to bring running enthusiasts in the Kingdom together, and to promote athletic tourism.
"The support of local civil societies is a primary philosophy adopted by Haier in its awareness of the significance of corporate social responsibility,"
said Hasan Nour, Haier's Deputy General Manager.
It is worth noting that Hair focuses on supporting various athletic activities and to support local civil societies that organize them around the world, and this is to participate in the creation of a culture of athletic awareness. Haier takes pride in being a significant partner in athletic investment and investment growth on both the regional and domestic scales.
The first three winners among both men and women will be given honorary cups, which will also be given to both the oldest and the youngest participants in the marathon.
