Ten Sports, one of the most watched sports channels in the sub-continent, achieved yet another landmark in its highly successful six year history when the channel launched its service in Europe last week.

Ten Sports, owned by the Dubai-based Taj Television Limited, is now available on Spize TV, a Pan-European DTH platform for South Asian TV channels in Continental Europe. Worldwide, Ten Sports is currently available in more than 55 million cable and satellite homes.

The new service provides the thousands of Europe-based fans from the sub-continent a chance to follow top international cricket series involving India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Australia, South Africa, England and the West Indies. Ten Sports is the biggest broadcaster, syndicator and producer of international cricket globally.

The first major cricket series on Ten Sports in the offing for the European viewers will be India's tour of Sri Lanka in August, where India will play one Test match and five one day internationals.

A delighted Chris McDonald, CEO, Taj Television Limited, said: "Ever since we launched Ten Sports, we have received mails from fans across Europe asking for the channel."

McDonald said:
"After six years of our operations, we are pleased to finally launch our European service. Judging from the number of queries we have had, Ten Sports is already a very well established brand in Europe, and we are happy that our viewers there can now watch the best of cricket and other sport on Ten Sports."

"In Spize TV, we have a very strong partner, who has intelligent and aggressive plans to reach the south Asian population throughout Europe," he added.

Amitabh Sharma, Vice President of Spize TV said: "We were very happy that TEN Sports selected Spize TV and has joined our platform.
