Oil futures drop to $117

New York oil futures fell to $117.11 a barrel yesterday, 20% down on the record of $147.27 it reached on 11 July, Bloomberg has reported. The drop in price coincides with an increase in reserves amid falling US consumer demand and a stronger dollar.
