Taking place from 10th - 15th September 2008, Aphrodite's challenge is part of the Go Red for Women global campaign which aims to reduce the occurrence of cardiovascular disease through awareness, education and prevention. This challenge also encourages women to exercise more and follow a healthy diet regime.

"It's great to have Land Rover supporting this exciting new project which highlights the importance of a healthy heart. The heart in the human body needs to be kept in a top-notch condition and the challenge in Cyprus will certainly aim at achieving this,"

said Julie Amer, Founder and Managing Director of Mountain High.

Participating from the UAE are teams of multi-national women who will put their physical and mental capabilities to test through rigorous activities comprising hiking, biking, kayaking, snorkeling and a special Go Red for Women scavenger hunt. Aphrodite's Challenge will also raise awareness for World Heart Day 2008 which falls on 28th September.

"Our support to Mountain High is in line with the company's philosophy to always create, inspire and deliver a spirit of adventure for everyone. We are proud to be able to make a positive contribution by encouraging, inspiring and motivating women to focus more on their health and be aware of the risk factors", said Marcelle Duncan, Regional Marketing Manager, Land Rover Middle East and North Africa.

The support for Mountain High's activities is part of Land Rover's ongoing commitment to encourage people to explore the outdoors and to spread the messages of health and adventure by stepping outside of their everyday limits for a good cause.
