As anticipated by Gargash Enterprises, the 2008 new cars sales figure comprised largely of sales of the C Class models, amounting to 768 vehicles, and the E Class models, 356 vehicles.
Similarly, used vehicles enjoyed a 20% increase thanks to 760 units sold in 2008 compared to 629 sold in 2007.
Mr. Ewan Ramsey, General Manager of Gargash Enterprises, had an optimistic view for the rest of the year and stated,
'Thanks to the efforts invested into new showrooms, particularly for used cars, we have been able to reach out more to our target clientele. Add to that new models and improved after-sales, and the result is more potential customers attracted, and more existing customers satisfied.'
Gargash Enterprises anticipates sales to rise further throughout the year, thanks to the upcoming launch of the GLK Class, which has already received over 10,000 orders in Western Europe alone - even before its launch.
