Forces of nature prompt O2 charity donation

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, August 11 - 2008 at 07:30
  • PRESS RELEASE

O2 Marketing Communications (O2MC), the award winning marketing communications agency, has donated over 92 sacks to the UNWFP Myanmar Appeal.

Given the recent natural disasters in China and Myanmar, O2 encouraged staff at its offices in Bahrain and Dubai to contribute to the appeal by donating money, however large or small to the UNWFP's recent appeal.

"We live in a world where the forces of nature displace far too many innocent people each year. With two major natural disasters occurring in May, the cyclone in Myanmar and the earthquake in China, and thousands of men, women and children in dire need of food aid, we felt compelled as a company to do whatever we could to help the survivors of the Myanmar cyclone. We are delighted with the amount of money we were able to raise and pleased with the feedback we have had from our employees in Bahrain and Dubai,'' said Mohammed Johmani, Managing Director of O2.
