Iraq, China to revive oil deal

Iraq's oil ministry has said the country is planning to revive the $1.2bn oil deal with China. The deal had been canceled after the 2003 US-led invasion. An initial agreement with China is expected to be signed at the end of August to develop the billion-barrel Ahdab oil field south of Baghdad, according to the ministry statement.
