Panasonic set for mass unveiling at this year's GITEX

Alongside the VIERA 150, Panasonic will release two high definition next-generation plasma televisions; the Guiness book of records placed Evolta batteries; new high definition camcorders and a line of SLR cameras.

To showcase all this, Panasonic Marketing Middle East will occupy 1000 square meters of space at GITEX, which takes place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 19 to 23.

Deputy General Manager of Corporate Communications at Panasonic Marketing Middle East, Taeko Danno, says that GITEX has a lot of strategic importance to Panasonic.

"This is the biggest consumer electronic fair in the Middle East; it's not only important for increasing revenue, but also for branding and showcasing the technology," she says.

"This year will be Panasonic's biggest presence at GITEX to date. Two years ago, we started with a display stand of 450-500square meters which was doubled last year, but this year we have even more space."

As well as showcasing the new range of products, Panasonic will dedicate an area of its stand to solution-based systems, which focus on educational systems.

"Our focus this year is on high definition products and solution based systems for education and corporate use," says Danno.
