Sheila and Abaya Fashion attracts huge crowds on second day at BurJuman

Sheila and Abaya Fashion, the DSS 2008 Signature Event that witnessed a glamorous opening on August 7, witnessed crowds of fashion enthusiasts in the second day as collections of the labels Al Yashmac from the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Al Motahajiba from Qatar, were displayed on the ramp at BurJuman, a key sponsor of the summer event.
The Al Yashmac range of clothing was conceived by Saudi based designer Mohammed Al Samhan and quickly gained prominence due to the use of a wide range of material including silk, crepe, and denim.
The following show in the evening featured the collections of the label, Al Motahajiba, a Qatari brand that is known throughout the GCC. The collections were characterized by the use of embellishments and the emphasis laid on the practicality of the abaya.
Shows for August 10 include collections of Al Anood Ali Saleh, and the label, Kashmir Art Gallery. The Sheila and Abaya Fashion will end on August 11.
