The region's only airline and hotel industry-specific revenue management summit will be held in Dubai from 12th - 15th October 2008 at the JW Marriott Hotel.

The event is sponsored by Lufthansa Systems, Emquest, and Wide Computer Systems, the first international business partner of IDeaS and supported by industry leading organizations, including the International Hotel & Restaurant Association and The Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management.

The American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM) will hold an exclusive two day certified workshop that has been specifically developed for the summit. Brett King, CEO of AAFM will lead the focused, practical workshop.

Revenue Management Summit 2008 will focus on the latest trends in revenue management strategy, and new innovations for new products and marketing strategies. With the ever evolving discipline in the spotlight, delegates are under increasing pressure to optimize revenue and think outside of the box.

Through case-studies and sharing of best practice of new concepts, practices, and solutions on the market, revenue management, pricing, and sales and marketing professionals attending the Summit will learn to optimize revenues and formulate far-sighted revenue management frameworks for their organizations

Sarah Allen, Area Director of Revenue Strategy for MEA, Marriott Hotels & Resorts, an expert presenter at the event, commented that the summit is "an excellent and insightful opportunity to be part of an event that recognizes the importance of the revenue management discipline, and which will fuel its growth and maturity in the Middle East and Africa region."

Discussions will be facilitated by those in the top of the field including Louis du Plessis, Head of Revenue Management and Pricing at Virgin Atlantic, Puneet Mahindroo, Corporate Director of Revenue Management and Global Distribution at Taj Hotels & Palaces, Ramesh Venkat, Senior Vice President Yield Management, and Aligi Gardenghi, Regional Director of Revenue Management of Hilton Hotels - Arabian Peninsula and Indian Ocean.
