  • PRESS RELEASE

Architecturally designed along the lines of an ancient spa town, Uptown Mirdiff, a Union Properties PJSC development is hosting a series of activities and events for shoppers and their families during the Holy month of Ramadan.

Located in the heart of one of Dubai's most tranquil locations, Uptown Mirdiff is abundant with neighbourly appeal and filled with convenient shopping and dining outlets creating a delightful family environment.

This year, the month long campaign features a historical theme that will take shoppers back to the Islamic Renaissance period. The walkways of Uptown Mirdiff are developed to portray the four periods of Islamic Renaissance; The Golden Age 632-661, The Umayyad Dynasty 660-750, The Abbasid Period 750-1258 and The Uthmani Period 1299-1923. To entertain and educate the visitors on the four periods of the Islamic Renaissance, a timeline route linking famous events and people is presented by a group of craftsmen, solo musicians and storytellers.

"The Holy month of Ramadan is a period that is aimed at strengthening the community and family ties, therefore, we are excited about the interactive theme of our campaign," said AnneMarie Shein, Senior Property Manager at Uptown Mirdiff. "It is a fun, entertaining theme and it's aimed at educating our shoppers and visitors on Islamic history, famous inventions and architecture from the respective periods."

Shoppers will also be delighted with the special Ramadan promotion that entitles them to enter into the raffle draw to win valuable prizes.

"An expression of unity and giving for the less privileged and the society forms an essential part of Ramadan, to emphasize on this, we have also launched a charity campaign in conjunction to the Ramadan promotion. This is a campaign that was welcomed by our shoppers as it gives them the opportunity to contribute to the community," added Shein.

In addition to the charitable contribution to our community, the historical journey through time and the promotional campaign, Uptown Mirdiff is also hosting activities that feature Arabian hospitality with coffee and dates, special Iftar delicacies from Iran, Turkey and UAE, henna artists and live Oud performers.

The Ramadan campaign will conclude with a three-day Eid-ul-Fitr festival filled with entertainment for children and adults as well as a grand raffle draw of the promotion that will be held on the last day Eid.
