"The Agency is always keen to cooperate with all categories of the community in a bid to enhance interaction and introduce people to the Water Bus project. The Project was launched to strengthen the concept of mass marine transit, particularly noting that it is a new marine transport mode that seeks to offer added convenience as well as security and safety to commuters."
These numerous visits by government departments and students of schools, colleges and universities, as well as the general public, made the Water Bus very popular.
This message of the Water Bus could also get through thanks to the large number of commuters across Dubai Creek.
The service contributed to easing congestion of Al-Seef and Bani Yas roads, following the operation of Line B3 starting from Al-Seef Station, passing through Bani Yas Station and terminating at Al-Sabkha Station and vice versa, on daily basis from 06:00 am to 11.00 pm.
"The marine cruise started from Al-Shindaga Station and passed through Al-Seef Station up to the Floating Bridge and back to Al-Shindaga. Students screened the lovely sceneries along the Creek side including Diving & Heritage Village, Dubai Old Souk, Ruler's Court and Yachts Dockyard at both banks of the Creek. They also viewed old boats loaded with commodities plying Dubai Creek waterway; which is a communication link in the trade route between the east and the west" added Al-Saffar.
Abbas Ibrahim, General Supervisor of the visiting students, said that the trip brought many benefits to students among which is entertainment.
It exposed the students to a panoramic and magnificent view of Dubai heritage places and promoted the spirit of cooperation and social unity among students.
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Al-Shabab Club he extended his thanks to RTA Marine Agency and Public Relations Section of Marketing & Corporate Communication Dep't at RTA Corporate Support Services Sector.
