In the afternoon of 7th August, the deputy governor of China Development and Reform Committee, Mr. Zhang Xiaoqiang held the meeting with Mr. Omran. He expressed appreciation about the amazing achievement of Etisalat growing to become one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, and the largest in the Arab world.

During the meeting, he also expressed that China welcomes Etisalat to deploy the cooperation and investment in Chinese telecom market. Meanwhile, he also praised Etisalat and Huawei of the strategic cooperation achievements.

At last both of them discussed the telecom operation trend of China and the investment opportunities in this market.

On the 8th August, Hosted by Ms. Sun Yafang, The Vice minister, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Mr. Lou Qinjian met with Mr. Omran. During this pleasent and effective meeting, Mr. Lou Qinjian introduced the reorganization schedule of telecom carriers in China to Mr. Omran. Furthermore, Mr. Lou Qinjian also gave a lot of feasible and constructive suggestions to Mr. Omran, focusing on the topic of investment in China.

During the stay of his Excellency, Chairman and CEO of China Mobile, Mr. Wang Jianzhou met the Mr. Omran in Beijing. During the meeting, they both discussed and exchanged the views on the development trends of telecom.

They also exchanged views on the development of Chinese market and gulf region, including the telecom competition in both regions. They concluded that the meeting is highly fruitful, which would also be a new start for bilateral co-operation in the emerging telecom market and expansion possibilities.
