His Excellency interacted with the participating photographers during his tour of the display and expressed his delight at the number of participants and the visible participation of local photographers this year.

"The increased number of participants this year is self explanatory on the popularity of the Photography Exhibition and I'm especially pleased to see that local participation is significant this time around. This event has enabled local talent to come to the fore and it should serve as an encouragement to other photographers to participate in this unique display,"
said His Excellency.

Laila Suhail said, "The overwhelming response we've had over the previous years made the Photography Exhibition a natural choice for a DSS Signature Event. This event is not just an exhibition but a gathering of exceptional talent portraying unique moments in everyday life."

Ibrahim Saleh said:
"The Photography Exhibition is an event of high calibre and its presence in the DSS itinerary affirms our commitment to host high-quality and diverse events that cater to visitors with varied tastes."

Photographers from diverse backgrounds and photo journalists are participating in the event that has witnessed a huge response this year. Around 90 applications were received by the DSF Office to be included in the exhibition, out of which 53 were chosen based on the criteria set for the competition. Approximately 160 images are up for display during the week-long event.

The exhibition, to run till August 18th, will be held from 10am to 10pm, featuring numerous themes to be showcased through the art works presented by local, regional, and international photographers.
