Under the agreement, OEPPPD will provide promotional services as well as coverage of Intilaaqah Awards 2008. The agreement was signed by Dr. Andy Wood, Shell Country Chair and Mr. Ahmed Al Battashi, Editorial Coordinator.

"Al Watan and Oman Tribune have always been very supportive of Intilaaqah. The coverage that Intilaaqah Awards obtains through these magazines ensures wider coverage in the local community,"

said Andy Wood.

Al Battashi also commented, "Intilaaqah is one of the most recognized initiatives to meet the need of a growing entrepreneurial culture and we are delighted to contribute towards its success."

Intilaaqah runs this award scheme yearly to recognize successful entrepreneurs and promote the concept of entrepreneurship. There is indeed a strong potential among Omani youth to start their own businesses.

Shell aims to contribute to local community development through Intilaaqah by providing free business skills training, counseling services and promoting the importance of start-up business.

In doing so, it has received the enthusiastic backing of leading organizations like National Bank of Oman, Bank Muscat, Oman Air, Knowledge Oasis Muscat, Sultan Qaboos University, The Sanad Program and Oman International Bank.
