Our Speciality Chefs have prepared a whole rainbow of dishes that highlight the great and diverse cuisines of both countries.
In addition to the regular menu, a special menu has been created by the Speciality Team.
Executive Sous Chef Ajay describes it as follows:
"A meeting of cultures, a wealth of culinary delights, this is the Indonesian and Malaysian Cuisine. It has taken on culinary influences from many sources and many dishes are derived from multiple ethnic impacts. The indigenous cuisine has been influenced by Chinese, Indian, Thai and many other cultures to produce an entirely new and rich cuisine of their own."
The Food Festival at Asia Live! presents some of these various delicious and popular dishes from the colorful variety of this gastronomic spectrum. Nasi goreng (fried rice) is the most common dish, while sate (skewered meats with a spicy peanut sauce), gado-gado (bean sprouts and vegetables in peanut sauce) and seafood are also popular. The variety of tropical fruits grown would make a greengrocer swoon. They include custard apples, durians, guavas, jackfruits, mangoes, papayas, starfruits and rambutans.
The festival will go on until 31st August, daily from 6.30 pm to 11.00 pm.
