The quality organizations which granted its membership to Dubai Chamber included the Belgium-based European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) which is involved in spreading the excellence culture on a global level, the USA-based American Society for Quality (ASQ) which is a considerable reference for quality specialists, and the local Dubai Quality Group (DQG) which extends support to local establishments to help them improve their performances through arranging work groups, seminars, conferences, workshops and training programmes.
Maryam Al Serkal, Director of Excellence Department at Dubai Chamber, said the joining of Dubai Chamber to these specialized organizations aims at enhancing awareness and spreading the culture of excellence and quality. She stressed the importance of linking the locally-applied practices with similar global practices through utilizing international quality standards and developing successful practices to ensure continued improvement of performance.
