Al Habtoor was also recently awarded the Park Central and Capital Bay projects at Business Bay.
The scope of work of the contract includes shoring piles, excavation and anchoring.
The value of the contract exceeds Dhs15m and the enabling work is expected to be completed by Dec 2008.
Commenting on awarding yet another enabling contract this year, Peter Riddoch, CEO, Damac Properties said:
Delay in projects have been one of the primary concerns in the construction industry and we at Damac are working tirelessly towards curbing this shortcoming that exists within the market and are focussing on timely delivery of projects. This year we have awarded 11 enabling contracts and 2 main works contracts already, which clearly reiterates our commitment towards project completions.
In the process of delivering projects one after the other, Damac is not compromising on quality and endeavours to appoint well-known and experienced contractors to ensure top-quality product coupled with timely delivery. Our association with Al Habtoor is not new and we are positive that we will be able to complete the enabling work for Executive Bay as planned.
