MTV Arabia has put together an action packed calendar of events for attracting the youth from across the country to the summer resort of Alexandria through staging chart-busting concerts and competitions, and giving away hard-to-ignore opportunities and prizes.

Miekka Beach, located in the northern coast of Alexandria, will host the event where visitors will not only experience the MTV Arabia lifestyle but a wide array of beach sports including beach volleyball and soccer.

Samr al Marzouqi, MTV Arabia Channel Manager, said:

"Our strong presence in Egypt this summer comes within our framework to continue interacting with young people in all Arab countries. We will leverage the widely popular talent available in Egypt, home to some of the most famous performing artists. Most importantly, we aim to attract the young generation and engage them in an open dialogue, encouraging them to artistically express themselves."

On 15 and 22 August, MTV Arabia will hold the 'Gadaha' competition, encouraging contestants to shoot footballs through various hurdles on the beach for a grand prize of $10,000.

The MTV Arabia celebrations will pump up a higher decibel on 22 August with a Danny Neville beach side concert.

MTV Arabia's Egypt activities will be aired on its top-rated programmes 'Waslati', 'Wyakoum', and 'Gadaha'.
