ECSSR receives the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa

The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Resaerch received the ambassador of the Republic from South Africa, H. E. Ambassador Yacoob Abba Omar, where he toured the Center and was introduced to different fields of research, community service and the programs used to train local researchers.

He was also introduced to the fields of scientific cooperation which are signed between by the Center and other research Centers and Universities from all around the world.

A presentation was given to the Ambassador about the Center's events and had a tour in the different divisions, departments and activities of the Center.

H.E visited the U.A.E Federation Library which is considered to be the largest specialized library in the region, covering many different fields such as politics, military, social and economy.

He then visited the Media Department where H.E was briefed on its daily functions, which comprise daily monitoring of local and global events and issuing Akhbar Al-Sa'ah (News of the Hour).

In addition to that, he was introduced to the media monitoring unit which is equipped with the most advanced technology to cover such events from all over the world.

At the end of the tour, H.E expressed his admiration of the mechanisms used in the Center and praised the methods used by the ECSSR in organizing conferences, lectures, symposiums and varieties of activities.
