Abu Dhabi's external trade rises 36.6%

Abu Dhabi's external trade in July 2008 increased by 36.6% over the same period in 2007, according to the emirate's General Administration of Customs. Overall trade volume was Dhs8.59bn in July this year as against Dhs6.289bn for July 2007. According to the new statistics, imports during July 2008 reached Dhs7.492bn compared to Dhs5.141bn in the same period in 2007 - registering an increase of 46%.
