Mr. Ossama Salah Retail Banking Group Head at SIB, expressed that:
"SIB aims to serve as a leader in providing new and unique personal banking services to its customers. The service 'Al Hurr' will offer full, nationwide coverage to all of SIB's customers, regardless of their proximity to an ATM or SIB branch."

Mr. Salah further noted that the new service is part of the bank's aim at expanding SIB's distinct personal and corporate services. He explained that mobile ATMs offer the same banking solutions provided by stationary ATMs around the country, but are conveniently located in pairs aboard transportable vehicles to service all corners of the UAE.

Mr. Qassem Albloushi (e-channels head) at SIB, explained the technology behind their initiative, noting that:
"The service utilizes the latest GPRS wireless communication technologies that enables mobility and smooth communication with the SIB's service network. We anticipate that our efforts will ensure convenience by delivering service to our customers' locations, whether it be near work or home."

Mr. Albloushi added that the mobile ATMs are accessible 24 hours a day throughout the entire week and offer a safe and private setting for new service users. The vehicles are also equipped with air conditioning and comfortable seating.

The new 'Al Hurr' ATMs were named after Al Hurr' (Arabian Falcon), one of the best and most deeply rooted Arab falcons. Albloushi explained that, "The Arabian falcons are characterized by their beautiful body shape and large size that distinguish them from other species of falcons, not to mention that they are the fastest among Arab falcons. In short, the Arabian falcon is a representation of the characteristics we are seeking to provide through our new service."

Sharjah Islamic Bank will base the service route of the its new mobile ATM service according to customer and market requirements. The bank anticipates a national presence at most upcoming events and activities held throughout the UAE.
