Abdullah Al-Madani, CEO of RTA Corporate Support Services Sector, commented on the campaign and said:
"RTA stands ready to cooperate with all entities in promoting social, cultural or economic matters of concern to community & individuals. RTA therefore opted to team up with DEWA in launching this campaign to enhance the awareness of RTA employees and clients of the importance of conserving wastage of these resources as it directly reflects on consumers in particular and the economy of Dubai in general. Addressing the increasing needs for electricity & water requires massive investments, let alone associated negative aspects, such as environmental pollution and depletion of natural resources."

Ahmed Al-Hammadi, Director of Administrative Services Dep't at RTA Corporate Support Services Sector, also commented on the event and said that this campaign was launched following introduction of the Slab Tariff system by DEWA in calculating the costs of electricity and water consumption. This campaign, which aims to curb excessive consumption of electricity & water, is launched under the theme of: Now You Know .... No Overuse, and will last through the end of the year.

He said, "The campaign met a huge response from RTA employees, who embarked on implementing the guidance steps stated in the campaign, and adopted the tips & practices calling for rationalizing the consumption of electricity & water. RTA employees showed readiness to implement these practices at home and offices during the working hours."

"The campaign was featured in many posters displayed on various parts of RTA premises, including electricity sockets and water faucets as a reminder of the need for consumption conservation. A large number of educative leaflets & flyers were also distributed to RTA employees and customers. The campaign runs over four phases; each one requires a different set of posters, signs and placards," he added.
