Laptop sales jump 87% in ME

Laptop sales in the Middle East jumped 87% in the second quarter of this year compared to the same period last year, according to a report by International Data Corporation (IDC) cited by Gulf News. The study said nearly 816,000 laptops were sold in the region in the second quarter, compared to 430,000 in the same period last year. More than two million laptops were sold in the region in 2007, the report added.
