The purpose of the visits was to gain an understanding of the ongoing developments taking place in downtown Amman and receive a sneak preview of the future downtown hub, which is expected to significantly alter Jordan.

The visits came as an opportunity for the Najah youth to get a first-hand look at the work being done to better their country's future, as well as their own futures.

Excitement bubbled in the air amongst the visitors when envisioning Jordan's potential and the benefits that the next generation workforce will gain once the project is completed.

Representatives from Abdali Psc accompanied the Najah group at the construction site, explaining the recent developments within the area, including the planning and construction processes.

The impressive 1.7 million square metres of mixed-use developments, which will be built over 384 thousand square metres of land, is set to provide more than 15,000 job opportunities in a variety of fields.

"What I saw at the Abdali construction site represents a new renaissance in the world of development and infrastructure...It's amazing for Jordan to witness the birth of a new era from such a project,"

commented Murad Al-Sai'di, one of the members of the Najah youth.

The anticipation felt among these youngsters could hardly be contained, as expressed by Bushra Ahmad: "When we witnessed the future vision of the project it felt as if we vividly lived the future of each young Jordanian."

The commitment and belief of both Abdali Psc and the Najah program to benefit and give back to both the country and citizens is what created this partnership that stems from the 'Ru'yatak' program that was launched by Abdali Psc. The program will coordinate all the activities sponsored by Abdali and finally unite them under one roof, with the theme "Let your vision come to life".

In doing so, Abdali will be taking on an active developer's role, enabling young men and women from all walks of life to make a real change in Jordanian society and fulfill their vision through different artistic and educational means.

The Najah Program is run by an NGO called Save the Children with support from the USAID. The program, which emphasises on the concept 'Culture of hope', was launched in 2005 to train and empower Jordanian youth aged 18-24 on life and work skills. These skills will help enhance their potential and enable them to be part of the future Jordanian workforce and economic growth of the country.

The first stepping-stone for the future of Jordan and its youth looks ever bright, and is eagerly awaited by all.
