"We have visited the Middle East and have participated in shows like GITEX. We've also recruited a great group of resellers there who understand the local market,"

said Sean Tang, Laserfiche Middle East regional manager.

"My job is to support these partners and provide them with simple, easy to implement solutions that address their customers' needs, especially in Dubai, which is growing quickly and requires 21st century technology."

Laserfiche and Dubai reseller partner Pixel Digital Systems LLC will attend GITEX in October this year where they will feature Laserfiche Rio, a flexible, scalable and streamlined solution to the enterprise content management (ECM) challenge.

It will be sold to Middle East enterprises through key resellers including Pixel, Integrated Business Solutions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; BMB sal in Beirut, Lebanon; Kuwait United; and Pixel Digital Systems LLC in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

"The ECM industry has been deluged with complex and difficult-to-implement systems that have been cobbled together from many different products," said Laserfiche CEO Nien-Ling Wacker.

"The time is right for an innovative solution that is easy to purchase, deploy and administer. Rio transcends product boundaries to unite document management, business process management and transparent records management in a single enterprise solution."

With Rio, organizations simply purchase named user licenses which provide a full range of ECM functionality, including workflow automation, Web-based document management, audit trail tracking, optional DoD 5015.2-certified records management and powerful capture tools that unify content located in disparate systems and formats.

Rio also includes an unlimited number of Laserfiche Servers and repositories, which organizations can use to support back ups, failover clusters, testing environments and multiple locations.

To expand their systems, organizations simply purchase additional licenses, which eliminates long requisition processes and makes budgeting for an enterprise deployment much easier.

"Laserfiche really make sense for Middle East customers because it provides them with a comprehensive range of products and solutions," said Pixel Managing Director Gurmeet Singh.

Rio is built on a Microsoft platform and uses Microsoft-standard tools, including MMC snap-ins, WMI and the .NET framework, to simplify system administration.

Laserfiche Workflow, built on the Windows Workflow Foundation, helps organizations move beyond simple document routing to automate everyday tasks, optimize business processes and share information with a wide variety of applications.

And a seamless integration with SharePoint enables users to work with both paper and electronic documents from a uniform, user-friendly interface.

"We design our products to make complex systems simpler," said Wacker.

"Rio provides what enterprises have been looking for—an intuitive, easy-to-use ECM system that builds on their existing Microsoft infrastructure."
