  • PRESS RELEASE

Emirates Airline has revised its fares for tickets issued in Middle East and GCC markets to over 20 cities, reflecting the recent softening of fuel prices.

In all, lower fares are being implemented on more than 30 flights to destinations in Europe, Far East and the Middle East - including popular cities such as Manila, Dhaka, Jakarta, London Gatwick, China.

Ex-Dubai, travellers will see Emirates fares to Cairo, Beirut, Damascus, Amman reduce by four percent. Travellers in the Middle East will also see lower fares on Emirates flights to points in the GCC.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Senior Vice President Commercial Operations - Gulf, Middle East and Iran, said:
"We are glad to be able to revise some of our fares with the recent lowering of fuel prices. Although fuel prices have fallen gradually in recent weeks, it is still some 60% above the average price per barrel in 2007. High fuel prices continue to be a big challenge for Emirates, and we are monitoring the situation closely."

Based in Dubai, Emirates operates flights to 101 cities across six continents. In the Middle East and GCC, it operates an extensive network covering 15 cities with over 200 flights weekly.
