The National Arab Motors KIA - Jordan launches the new SUV "Mohave"

To test the ability of its new SUV -the Mohave- the National Arab Motors, Kia- Jordan held an event for its new 4X4 vehicle at the king of Bahrain Park (Ghamadan).

The new Mohave is considered the most powerful vehicle that has been produced by KIA Motors so far.

The new Mohave is considered the first SUV from KIA to offer seven- seated capability with V6 engine power and 278 power horse or V8 engine power with 340 horse power.

Also, the new Mohave offers a high level of developed capacity, control, good performance, fuel economy, and towing ability up to 3400 kg, and this is the first time that KIA motors produces this multi-task vehicle.

What makes this vehicle unique is because it's taller and wider to ensure that passengers can be comfortably accommodated on the third row.

"KIA Motors is planning to produce 55,000 SUV Mohave-type multi-task vehicles in 2008. Also, KIA intends to increase its production level to 75,000 vehicles annually until 2012. Furthermore, KIA's researches anticipate that the annual global demand for the multi-task mid-size SUV type will reach 2.7 Million this year."


said Nihad Zacharia, The National Arab Motors General manager.

Also, Mr. Zacharia stressed that the test drive is an opportunity for all 4X4 fans to discover the power of KIA Mohave and its distinctive features.

Mr. Ma'amon Shalabi of 4X4 club stated that the Mohave is distinguished through its on road and off road excellent performance in addition to its luxury- with-value.

The new Mohave is designed for desert use, and the name "Mohave" is derived from the California desert known for it's vastness, high temperature and challenging terrain.
