The 700,000 square metre development will be known as International Logistics City and will be Momentum's flagship project.
The city will house distribution centres offering temperature controlled solutions, warehouses, a transportation park, a container freight station, a container repair workshop, self storage facilities, offices, personnel accommodation blocks and a food court.
Speaking of the proposed facility, Matthew Derrick, General Manager of Momentum, said:
"Although Momentum has not yet been officially launched we already have big plans for the company. One of the most significant is the construction of the International Logistics City in Sharjah, which will offer top quality services to all clients, and will allow them to manage their entire supply chain from a single location."
Once launched, Momentum will offer a complete suite of 3PL and supply chain management services, providing a natural extension of the services offered by Gulftainer.
The company aims to become a global provider of choice for 3PL services, and the creation of the International Logistics City is merely a first step in this direction.
