By the end of 2008, al khaliji will have up to ten offsite ATMs throughout Qatar.
Designed by Wincor Nixdorf, the next-generation machines feature a raft of clever innovations designed to make the ATM banking experience simpler, safer and secure.
Not only do the machines' ample screens give customers a visual idea of what's happening to their money - displaying cheques and receipts on-screen - they also provide a new level of functionality with Web Services allowing customers to see Reuters news feeds and Doha Securities Market prices in both English and Arabic.
Technical innovation has also been applied to the way the machines are kept clean, by means of a specialized biodegradable cleaning set, giving antimicrobial protection that lasts over a week using/based on Nanotechnology.
Environmentally minded customers can also rest assured that al khaliji new machines have been designed for maximum savings on energy consumption.
ATMs feature self-regulating LCD brightness controllers that respond to sunlight. Production is done using the latest eco-friendly technologies which uses fewer solvents and minimises water & waste.
Security is assured by anti-fraud kits being in built as standard and as a first all machines being hardened from electronic attacks in addition to physical attacks.
