By 2011, approximately 6.1m units of LCD TVs are expected in the Middle East and Africa region.

Consequently, the MEA LCD TV revenue is forecasted to reach Dhs11.60bn ($3.16bn) in 2011, according to DisplaySearch, an international consumer and retail market research company, studies obtained by BenQ Corporation.

In response to consumer demands for bigger and better viewing technology, BenQ has launched its first Full HD 47inches LCD TV - the SJ4731 in the Middle East.

The SJ series also includes a Full HD 42inches inch model-SJ4231.

With the unveiling the new line of full 1080p HD LCD TVs; BenQ not only expands its line of large-size LCD TVs but is introducing cost-effective Full HD solutions to consumers.

"The new BenQ LCD TVs will deliver a high quality viewing experience with sets that are stylish and continue to represent the value for money that consumers are demanding. We are expecting significant sales growth throughout the region with this range,"
