Mind's Pleasure concludes its summer journey

Mind's pleasure seminars were concluded last Saturday with a turnout of more than 3000 participants.

This year the main focus was how to maintain a happy family and raise a successful generation in addition to other very important topics such as self empowerment techniques, making the right choice in financial investment, revealing the secrets behind graphotherapy, and many more.

During this season, Mind's Pleasure hosted eminent and professional speakers in the field of coaching and human development such as Tony Hunt, Drew Price, Terrence McClendon, Dr Basheer Al Rashidi and Dr Ibrahim Al Khulaifi to name a few.

Mr. Osama al Sayyed Omar, Managing Director of Smart Ideas magazine which is specialized in human development and training said, "I thank Watani for its national initiatives and valuable revolutionary seminars specially in the fields of public coaching and training. These seminars transformed Dubai into a cultural oasis where prominent speakers from around the world gather to shed light on new useful topics that is relevant to every member of the society."

According to Ahmed Al Mansoori, Director General of Watani, "We hope that 'Mind's Pleasure' seminars were valuable for all participants providing them with expert advice on the various issues that matter in their day-to-day lives. This year's series of 'Minds Pleasure' seminars, workshops and lectures aimed to leverage the social development of individuals for the improvement of the society as a whole."

These seminars were part of Watani's initiatives to encourage the practices of good citizenship among all the segments of the UAE society and creating a volunteering platform for everyone interested in offering time and effort for the benefit of the general public in the UAE.

This is one of a wide array of activities that Watani, the social development programme, introduced during this summer which included cooperation with Princess Haya Cultural & Islamic Centres, summer centres for school children with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), in addition to heritage summer camps, and finally the Ajaaj: 2020 theatrical show.

Watani Programme was launched on December 2, 2005 under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to promote the UAE's national identity and practices of good citizenship within the UAE's diverse and multicultural society. The programme organizes and implements various educational, entertainment, and media activities that are directed to the youth, women and children. The activities and campaigns organized by Watani are carried out by a number of volunteers and public interest advocates in the UAE.
